WHITEHALL, PA (July 5, 2018)—Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers (LVCC) announced the acquisition of former Little People Daycare School at 1325 Fairmont Street, Whitehall, PA 18052. The new site, LVCC on Fairmont, is currently taking enrollment applications for children ages six weeks to 12 years.

"We look forward to introducing the Whitehall Township community to our dynamic educational programs," said Charles Dinofrio, LVCC VP of early education and child care programs. "LVCC has been serving the surrounding community for 48 years. It makes sense to branch out to residential areas that have a need for our services."

LVCC on Fairmont is licensed for 146 children. The center will participate in Pennsylvania Keystone STARS for continuous quality improvement. LVCC has plans to make minor renovations to bring the classrooms and general facility up to LVCC standards. The colorful, well-equipped classrooms will offer extensive age-appropriate activities and learning stations.

In addition to a longstanding tradition of providing a positive early learning experience for children, LVCC accepts Child Care Works, Pennsylvania’s subsidized child care program. Charitable support through the LVCC Scholarship Fund makes it possible for LVCC to provide scholarship assistance to low-income families who have enrolled at LVCC and are on the extensive waitlist for those subsidies.

LVCC on Fairmont offers a curriculum aligned with Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards to meet the physical, educational, and social/emotional needs of each child. The center operates year-round from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Features include:

  • Qualified teachers who receive ongoing professional development
  • Full-time, part-time and drop-in rates with flexible hours
  • Three playgrounds for physical activity
  • Daily nutritious meals and snack at no additional fee
  • Accessible parking lot for easy drop off and pick up
  • Summer field trips for preschool and school-age children at no additional fee
